21th Annual VES Awards: The Winners


The Visible Results Society has introduced the winners for the 21th Annual VES Awards!

Congratulations and good luck to everybody!

At this time, the Visible Results Society (VES), the trade’s world skilled honorary society, held the 21st Annual VES Awards, the celebrated yearly celebration that acknowledges excellent visible results artistry and innovation in movie, animation, tv, commercials, video video games and particular venues.

Trade visitors gathered on the Beverly Hilton Resort to have fun VFX expertise in 25 awards classes and particular honorees. Avatar: The Method of Water was named the photoreal function winner, garnering 9 awards.  Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio was named high animated movie, profitable three awards.  The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Energy was named finest photoreal episode, profitable three awards.  Frito-Lay: Push It topped the industrial subject.

Comic/actor Patton Oswalt returned as host for the tenth time. Academy Award- profitable filmmaker James Cameron introduced the VES Lifetime Achievement award to acclaimed producer Gale Anne Hurd.  The Society’s present and former Board Chairs introduced the VES Board of Administrators Award to former Government Director Eric Roth; the group included Lisa Cooke, present VES Chair; Jim Morris, VES, President of Pixar Animation and founding VES Chair; and former Chairs Jeffrey A. Okun, VES; Mike Chambers, VES; Carl Rosendahl, VES; and Jeff Barnes.  Award presenters included: Academy-Award nominated filmmaker Rian Johnson, Academy-Award-winning filmmaker Domee Shi; actors Tig Notaro, Jay Pharoah, Tyler Posey, Randall Park, Angela Sarafyan, Bashir Salahuddin, Josh McDermitt and Danny Pudi.  Dara Treseder, Autodesk’s Chief Advertising and marketing Officer, introduced the VES-Autodesk Pupil Award.

“As we have fun the 21st Annual VES Awards, we’re honored to maintain shining a light-weight on exceptional visible results artistry and innovation,” mentioned VES Chair Lisa Cooke.  “In all of our colleagues honored tonight, we see finest in school work that elevates the artwork of storytelling and exemplifies the spirit of adaptation and ingenuity — abilities which have stored audiences engaged and uplifted, now, greater than ever.  The VES Awards is the one venue that showcases and honors these excellent world artists throughout a variety of disciplines, and we’re extraordinarily pleased with all our winners and nominees!”
