The Columbia Graduate College of Structure, Planning and Preservation (GSAPP) hnw has a collection of self-guided course modules, offering an introduction to the basics of computation and spatial design for college students coming into the GSAPP Computational Design Practices program at Columbia.

The collection of on-line programs, the Smorgasboard, contains an intro to Rhino, an intro to Grasshopper, Computational Design in Grasshopper, and Python in Rhino / Grasshopper.

The Smorgasbord tutorials complement a collection of CDP basis courses, which can embrace discussions, studying, suggestions, and extra tutorials. These tutorials are chosen to supply a specific computational grounding to facilitate dialogue, exploration, and creation of initiatives on the intersection of design, computation, and the constructed surroundings.

Whereas the Smorgasboard is designed because the pre-program curriculum for the GSAPP Masters of Science in Computational Design Practices, it additionally welcomes any pupil considering Computational Design throughout all applications at GSAPP.
