MQ-9B SeaGuardian Featured in US Navy Group Sail Train

The U.S. Navy’s Group Sail Train, held over a six-day interval in Hawaiian army working areas, featured one of many world’s most superior Unmanned Plane Methods (UAS) — the MQ-9B SeaGuardian® provided by Common Atomics Aeronautical Methods, Inc. (GA-ASI). SeaGuardian carried out Maritime Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (MISR), Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Lengthy Vary Fires, and simulated Battle Injury Evaluation as a part of Group Sail, which supported Provider Strike Teams FIFTEEN and ONE.

Throughout the train, which ran April 12-17, 2023, SeaGuardian built-in with U.S. Navy ships (carriers, cruisers, and destroyers) and plane (F-35C, F/A-18, EA-18G, E-2D, MH-60, and P-8) to help numerous naval missions that included Maritime Area Consciousness, Floor Warfare, Info Warfare, and quite a few time-sensitive focusing on goals and simulated Battle Injury Assessments.

“We had been thrilled that the U.S. Navy requested SeaGuardian be a part of the Group Sail coaching occasion,” stated GA-ASI President David R. Alexander. “We all know the various successes of SeaGuardian in the course of the USN’s RIMPAC 2022 train was an enormous cause the SeaGuardian was invited again to Hawaii to help Group Sail.”

Along with its contributions throughout Group Sail, the SeaGuardian self-deployed from GA-ASI’s Desert Horizons flight operations facility in El Mirage, Calif., to Marine Corps Base Hawaii, overlaying over 2,500 nautical miles in a single flight and demonstrating SeaGuardian’s unrivalled expeditionary attributes. The plane self-deployed again to El Mirage following the train.
