FAA selects D-Fend Options’ EnforceAir for testing

D-Fend Options, the chief in radio frequency (RF), cyber-based, non-kinetic, non-jamming, counter-drone detection and takeover know-how, has been chosen for participation within the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)’s Airport UAS Detection and Mitigation Analysis Program, below Part 383 of the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018.  D-Fend Options’ core C-UAS system, EnforceAir, will bear preliminary testing at Atlantic Metropolis Worldwide Airport (KACY) and potential additional analysis at different airport environments.

D-Fend Options’ EnforceAir is the primary RF-cyber based mostly superior protocol full takeover UAS detection and mitigation system chosen for this system. The EnforceAir system design is particularly optimized to empower airports with a surgical counter-drone strategy to menace detection and mitigation that enables close by licensed drones to proceed operations with no collateral impact on navigation or communications programs, harm to infrastructure, or extreme burden to human assets. The system gives 360 diploma and long-range directional safety and protection to guard airport services and takeoff and touchdown airspace corridors.

“EnforceAir’s engagement on this mission-critical FAA program aligns completely with our core mission of main in offering probably the most superior know-how to beat rogue drone threats in probably the most delicate environments and airspace, most notably airports, in a managed method that permits secure and uninterrupted operations”, stated Zohar Halachmi, Chairman and CEO of D-Fend Options. “We’re gratified to be chosen for this prestigious and selective program, and we commend the FAA for prioritizing necessities for the most secure types of non-disruptive mitigation know-how that permit for airport operational continuity.”

D-Fend’s engagement with the FAA builds on the corporate’s momentum and ongoing collaboration on deployments with a number of US federal companies throughout DoD, DHS and DoJ, together with its latest suggestion by the DoD’s Joint Counter Small Unmanned Programs Workplace (JCO).

The Airport UAS Detection and Mitigation Analysis Program permits the FAA to work with main federal departments and companies to make sure that programs are being developed, examined, or deployed to detect and/or mitigate potential dangers posed by errant or hostile UAS operations and ensures they don’t influence or intervene with secure airport operations.
