It’s a giant week for grownup animation, as Comedy Central prepares for the premiere of South Park Season 26 in addition to the printed debut of Mike Choose’s Beavis & Butt-head, each bringing their particular manufacturers of irreverent, chaotic humor to the community on Wednesday, February 8.
South Park returns for its mindboggling twenty sixth season on Wednesday, premiering at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Within the launch episode, “Cupid Ye,” Cartman (voiced by Trey Parker) is jealous of the friendship that has developed between Kyle (Matt Stone) and Tolkien (Adrien Beard) … and decides to do one thing about it. Comedy Central’s Emmy and Peabody Award-winning sequence South Park launched on August 13, 1997, and relies on the VHS-shared, animated brief entitled The Spirit of Christmas. Mike Choose’s Beavis and Butt-head will carry the unruly reboot to broadcast for the primary time, launching Feb. 8 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. Season 1 episodes of the brand new sequence will roll out weekly on Wednesdays after South Park, making Comedy Central a midweek grownup animation vacation spot.

Created and voiced by Choose, Beavis and Butt-head originated in Choose’s 1992 brief Frog Baseball, which aired on MTV’s Liquid Tv. The unique Beavis and Butt-Head sequence ran for seven seasons from March 8, 1993 to Nov. 28, 1997, and was revived in 2011 with an eighth season airing on MTV.
