Enable shortening of decrease half of dimension extension traces – Function Requests

sure you may ! :slight_smile:

okay, it’s fairly easy when you already know about it :

open your template, and make a dimension. you may make it within the gray if you’d like. Right here, you alter all of the parameters of your template. traces, size, color, all.

then use the eyedropper on this dimension. and any longer, all the brand new dimensions I place could have this parameter (something from the road model or the dimension model panels). When you save your template with this “prepared made” dimension on the facet, then all you want is to eyedrop it and bam, able to work.

let me present you

right here, first is vanilla,
second I adjusted the highest traces size and width, and I moved the textbox on the facet. then eyedropper
thirds, you see, among the parameters remained.

Sadly, and it solutions a few of your different questions, the place of the textual content just isn’t a parameter in one of many facet panel (I imply the gap between the textual content and the road). and it received’t be saved whereas utilizing the eyedropper software.

And sure. I forgot to do it, however in case you change the textual content (measurement, font location beneath / over the road) it’ll register with the eyedropper.

so right here on the third line I put some blue traces, a purple textual content in 6pt and voilà. If I exploit the eyedropper on it, then all my future dimensions will use this template.

as for transferring the textual content field nearer to the road, I don’t see a strategy to do it by default.

I can manually transfer it (then make the curved line white), however as I mentioned earlier, the eyedropper trick received’t reproduce it as a result of it’s not a parameter, it’s me (otherwise you) bodily transferring the textual content field. :confused:

as for the snapping dimensions.

snapping facet by facet s fairly easy, format retains the inferences level, so that you simply want to drag the dimension subsequent to the neighbour, and it’ll snap.

what you are able to do if you’d like a number of dimension to behave as a gaggle is choose them and group them, such as you would in SU. now if I pull to make the group longer, the proportion can be saved.
