India’s DGCA indicators MoU with EASA for UAS and revolutionary mobility

The Directorate Normal of Civil Aviation (DGCA) India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the European Union Aviation Security Company (EASA) for cooperation in Unmanned Plane Methods and Modern Air Mobility.

This MoU will concentrate on collaboration on unmanned plane and revolutionary air mobility between the civil aviation authorities.

This collaboration would come with cooperation between DGCA and EASA within the areas of improvement of certification requirements and environmental requirements and associated necessities for the certification and use of unmanned plane programs and revolutionary air mobility operations.

This consists of licensing of personnel, coaching, air site visitors administration and infrastructure, together with Unmanned Plane System Visitors Administration (UTM) requirements and providers.

The MoU can even guarantee common info sharing between the 2 authorities on the technological developments and analysis on this space and their respective outreach methods to achieve related stakeholders.

Additional, the MoU will end in collaboration in conducting conferences, workshops, and coaching programmers by DGCA and EASA on this space.

The signing of this MoU is predicted to end in harmonized requirements and accelerated development of the Indian unmanned aviation sector.

Throughout EU-India Aviation Summit held in New Delhi on 20th April 2023, DGCA signed a letter of intent (LoI) on Unmanned Plane Methods and Modern Air Mobility with the European Union Aviation Security Company (EASA).
