CAKE, King Banana TV and Paper Owl Movies are teaming up for a brand new 2D animated household sitcom titled Nikhil & Jay, for CBeebies. The 52 x 11′ collection is predicated on award-winning creator Chitra Soundar’s e book collection, impressed by her personal twin heritage household of British and South Asian heritage.

Nikhil & Jay follows the adventures of two younger brothers whose Mum is Indian by heritage and Dad is English. A household sitcom written from a spot of data, love and genuine, lived expertise of two cultures coming collectively, Nikhil & Jay celebrates the similarities and variations with quick paced wit and visible humor.

The collection shall be produced for CBeebies by King Banana TV (Yakka Dee!, Meet the Consultants), Paper Owl Movies (Pablo, Blissful The Hoglet) and CAKE (Indignant Birds Summer time Insanity, Supa Workforce 4), with funding from Northern Eire Display. CAKE will personal distribution rights and shall be promoting the collection internationally.
