Nexus Studios has signed Los Angeles-based Asian-Australian author, director, and artist Emily Dean to its world roster for industrial illustration. Her latest directorial work on the Emmy Award-winning Netflix animated sequence, Love Demise + Robots showcased Dean’s visible artistry.
She has labored as a narrative artist and visible guide on movies similar to The LEGO Batman Film, The LEGO Film 2, Scoob, Resort Artemis, and the Award-winning quick Hair Love whereas working with studios together with Pixar, Warner Bros, Animal Logic, Lionsgate, and Sony Image Animation. In 2023, Dean was awarded an Annie Award for Finest Storyboarding TV/Media for her work on the Love Demise + Robots Quantity 3 episode, titled “The Very Pulse of the Machine.”
Dean attended the Australian Movie TV Radio Faculty and later studied at California Institute of the Arts. Her unbiased animated quick movie Overlook Me Not was impressed by her household’s expertise with Alzheimer’s illness and earned her a nomination for Finest Quick Animation on the Australian Academy Awards.
