Nexus Studios Tapped for Gorillaz ‘Silent Operating’ Music Video


Nexus Studios director Fx Goby lately collaborated with Gorillaz co-creator Jamie Hewlett on one other music video for the digital band’s new monitor “Silent Operating ft. Adeleye Omotayo.” The undertaking builds on earlier work from Hewlett and the Emmy-nominated director, who most lately teamed up on “Cracker Island’ ft. Thundercat,” the title monitor on the band’s forthcoming new album. 

Hewlett and Goby got down to produce a narrative-led, creatively formidable music video for the band, bringing collectively prosthetics, pyrotechnics, efficiency, and complicated visible results. Produced by Nexus Studios, the live-action and animation-infused video’s sense of scale is conveyed via layers of element, incorporating minuscule carvings on the cave partitions, evaporating cult members, and using actual fireplace on set.

The musical group lately journeyed from their unique base at Kong Studios in West London to Silverlake, California, as they recruited new members to affix The Final Cult. With their new digs comes a brand new look, with the band now showing in stylized 3D, courtesy of Hewlett and Goby’s artistic collaboration.
