The Ottawa Worldwide Animation Competition (OIAF) introduced the creation of the Hélène Tanguay Award for Humour, in recognition of the late Nationwide Movie Board of Canada worker and 2007 OIAF Honorary President. A champion for the worldwide animation group, Tanguay was recognized for her infectious humorousness. In her honor, the brand new award acknowledges animated works that convey an analogous sense of untamed, darkish, or absurd humor.

The winner of this newest award addition might be chosen by a handpicked, rotating jury of Tanguay’s associates and colleagues.
If chosen for Official Competitors, animators can have the chance to win the Hélène Tanguay Award for Humour. The pageant accepts animated works till Could 31, 2023, and can announce its Official Choice in July.
