The Sonic the Hedgehog spinoff mini-series Knuckles is increasing! Becoming a member of Idris Elba’s eponymous dastardly crimson Echidna are Scott ‘Child Cudi’ Mescudi (X, Don’t Look Up); Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gem stones); Julian Barratt (Mindhorn); Ellie Taylor (Ted Lasso); and Rory McCann (Recreation of Thrones). Reprising their roles from the franchise are Adam Pally (Blissful Endings, The Mindy Venture) as Walt Whipple and Tika Sumpter (Ultimate House) as Maddie.
Jeff Fowler, franchise director, returns to helm the pilot. Ged Wright, Brandon Trost, Jorma Taccone, and Carol Banker can even direct. John Whittington (Sonic the Hedgehog 2, The Lego Batman Film) serves as govt producer and head author alongside collection scribes Brian Schacter and James Madejski.
The collection is at present in manufacturing in London and follows Knuckles as he teaches deputy Wade Whipple the rowdy methods of the Echidna warrior. Knuckles will happen between the occasions of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3, the latter of which is slated to premiere in theaters December 20, 2024.
Fowler, Whittington, and Elba govt produce alongside Neal H. Moritz and Toby Ascher of Authentic Movie and Toru Nakahara. Paramount Photos and Sega of America produce.
Knuckles sprints onto Paramount+ beginning October 12, 2023.
