Director Roman Kaelin at PULK in Zurich, Switzerland: “We had been challenged to convey this new, high-precision watch engineered in stainless-steel to life. Establishing and showcasing the construct with intricate particulars, from the uncooked supply to the ultimate piece.
“The preliminary metallic results needed to convey the texture and construct from the unique uncooked supply materials to the ultimate piece in an natural and dynamic method. We closely relied on SideFX Houdini for simulation and the creation of customized setups as a way to obtain this.
“It was essential to seek out new and dynamic methods to painting the meeting of the watch whereas staying true to the underlying theme of metal and magnetism, this once more concerned procedural results setups paired with customized and art-directable animation.”
