Downside with extension supervisor – 3D Connexion – SketchUp

After beginning SU 2022 on Mac OS, I get a message stating that there’s an extension that have to be up to date.

I open the extension supervisor and see that the 3D Connexion plugin must be up to date.

The issue is that each icons “Mettre à jour” (Replace) and “Déinstaller” (Uninstall) are greyed out.

I checked in Library/Utility assist/SletchUp 2022/SketchUp/Plugins and I can’t see something with the identify 3D Connexion.

How can I clear up this downside. ?

Do you might have the newest model of their driver (10.7.4) put in? If not, obtain it from their web site and set up it.

I’m shocked there’s any message from the Extension Supervisor, as this extension just isn’t distributed from there! I don’t know the way they might bear in mind it’s outdated!

Additionally, 3DC installs their extension in /Library, not ~/Library. Did you look there? That’s most likely why the EM doesn’t know how you can replace or uninstall it! There needs to be a registrar file 3DxSketchUp.rb and a folder 3DxSketchUp.rb in

/Library/Utility Assist/SketchUp 2022/SketchUp/Plugins

Edit: it seems that their installer just isn’t but conscious of SketchUp 2023 and gained’t set up for it. I’ve posted a question on their dialogue web site asking if they’ve a timeline for fixing it.

I downloaded 10.7.4 and put in it.

I see this:

Macintosh HD/Library/Utility Assist/3D Connexion/3DxWare/3DxWare.plist

Discover that my Area navigator works in variations 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.

Discover that if I open the 3D Connexion management panel from System Preferences, I see two entries named SketchUp. This was current even earlier than I upgraded to model 10.7.4. Additionally, the “Take away Utility” menu entry is at all times greyed out.

That’s what you need to see in that folder. You can have a look at the plist to see if it seems damaged. Did you reboot the Mac after the set up? If not, possibly one thing is caught within the preferences supervisor.

I see just one entry for SketchUp within the record. Take away Utility can also be greyed out on my Mac. I don’t know why that’s greyed out particularly for SketchUp. It isn’t for different Purposes on their record.

To be sure you have a clear begin, I’d counsel operating

/Purposes/3Dconnexion/Uninstall 3Dconnexion Driver.app

Then reboot and reinstall the driving force once more. @simoncbevans has reported beforehand that he has to disable the macOS firewall in the course of the driver set up to get it to work, although I haven’t wanted to do this.

If none of that works, you can attempt posting a question on their dialogue web site. Not like up to now, nick gomes is fairly good about responding to questions there.

It doesn’t seem damaged.

I rebooted the Mac a number of time after the set up.

I see two entries.

It’s for all functions on their record.

I’ll attempt. I hope I cannot unfastened the working of my Area Navigator with earlier variations of SketchUp.

The message in Extension supervisor is gone.

Nonetheless, all the opposite issues are nonetheless there.

Properly, sorry however I’m out of concepts. You will want to contact them instantly. Not like up to now, they appear to have moderators who truly test the discussion board on occasion…

Im operating 10.8.11.3519 and that i had no issues with it working earlier than or after i put in 2023.

Technically, i’ve 1 downside however i imagine its working as meant. For me each time i change from perspective to parallel it switches the digicam to “goal digicam” from my default of simply digicam. It doesn’t return to the digicam setting upon returning to perspective mode so i must do it manually… each time.

@jean_lemire_1 Do this repair right here. Labored a deal with for me and saved me the annual ache within the @rse getting my 3D house navigator working once more.
