NATO exams counter-drone applied sciences throughout train


From 12 to 22 September 2023, over 300 contributors from 15 Allied and three associate nations, the European Union and the non-public sector gathered within the Netherlands to extend their potential to counter potential threats posed by the malign use of small drones.

NATO’s Counter Unmanned Plane System Technical Interoperability Train (C-UAS TIE23) introduced collectively navy, scientific and business specialists to check high-tech business options used to detect, determine, and neutralise drones. Some 70 methods and applied sciences together with sensors, effectors and jammers had been examined dwell. The purpose was to make sure that these high-tech options can join immediately and function collectively seamlessly.

The misuse of small and broadly obtainable drones has grown exponentially. Always bettering the flexibility of counter-drone methods to function collectively helps to strengthen Allied air defence and deterrence and defence. The train was organised by the NATO Communications and Info Company (NCI Company) and hosted by the C-UAS Joint Nucleus inside the Dutch Ministry of Defence.
