Put in new model right now,
Created 3 Trays, T1, T2, T3
T1 incorporates Parts
T2 incorporates Entity Data, Tags, Scenes
T3 incorporates Supplies, Types, Soften Edges
After I open SU Professional:
The T1/Parts window is blackened out
The T3/Supplies and /Types home windows are blackened out.

I’ve to shut and reopen the trays for them to show correctly.

It occurs each time I open SU Professional 2023.
I disabled each plugin and restarted – no affect.
I deleted the trays and recreated – no affect.
I renamed the worldwide and native preferences JSON recordsdata and rebuilt the toolbars and trays – no affect.
Right here’s a screenshot:

Any enter towards resolving that is appreciated!
Don’t have any comparable points in SU Professional 2022.

Appears you aren’t alone… :frowning:

Nicely, that might counsel it’s them and never us… I submitted a ticket to SU, we’ll see how rapidly they reply.

There’s a solution to make this a bit extra handy as a workaround.

Merge all of your trays into one like so:

It’s only a matter of dragging all of the trays collectively and anchor them on both facet:

You may then set this tray in your secondary monitor. When Sketchup masses, simply barely resize the tray and it’ll begin working once more. It’s not a lot, however it’s a workaround.

Simply tried this on my system and all was nicely.

Thanks for the responses – SU has responded to my bug assessment request and so they’re engaged on it. Will advise of any progress or ideas they make.

I submitted a bug report and it has been escalated up a tier. SU acknowledges it’s a bug.

Resizing the tray appears the best work round for now. I wrote an AutoHotKey script that positions my trays the place I need them and added a line of code for every tray to resize it barely and measurement it again once more. It resolves the black display screen difficulty and a problem the place clicking on a element isn’t updating the mannequin data dialog. With 3 screens, I can simply transfer the trays with the hotkey to the left, center or proper monitor and the resizing code I added appears to get the trays again in correct working order.

I’m having the identical downside, besides that my tray panes aren’t blacked out; they merely retain their preliminary values. I posted about it within the thread that dezno talked about above.

Would you thoughts sharing your AutoHotKey script?
