Weareseventeen Lights Up New Nordic Channel for BBC – Movement design


The BBC’s new linear channel in Scandinavia (a merger of BBC Brit and BBC Earth) launches with these placing IDs usual by the crew at London studio weareseventeen across the idea of “The Vibrant Aspect”.

From the group at weareseventeen: “Our technique for BBC Nordic / Nordic+ is constructed on insights from our Scandinavian viewers and their tradition plus the channel programming. Conceived to seize the multi-faceted nature of the channel, the model thought ‘The Vibrant Aspect’ conveys intelligence, wit, and distinction.

“The model identification and on-air package deal replicate the model thought and accompanying model pillars. These rules are Vibrant Leisure to spotlight the channel’s spark and optimism. Heat Connections to have a good time the affinity that exists between the UK and Scandinavia. Illuminating Moments to foreground the enlightening documentaries our audiences love. And eventually Cultivating Contrasts, as contrasts intensify the emotional enchantment of BBC Nordic’s spectrum of programming.
 

“The core asset on the coronary heart of the identification – a diagonal stroke referencing the central line of the Nordic ‘N’ – acts as an angular Prism Edge that each radiates and transforms mild, embodying the essence of ‘The Vibrant Aspect’.”

 
“When exploring ‘The Vibrant Aspect’ visually, we naturally turned to 3D and movement first to develop inspiration and inevitably the constructing blocks of our model identification.

“The core asset on the coronary heart of the identification – a diagonal stroke referencing the central line of the Nordic ‘N’ – acts as an angular Prism Edge that each radiates and transforms mild, embodying the essence of ‘The Vibrant Aspect’.

“Our coloration palette represents the colours generated when mild is break up from a prism edge. We targeted on teal and orange as hero colours – full of sunshine, contrasting ends of the spectrum, and heat and funky collectively. The emblem gives a daring inexperienced that nods to Nordic landscapes and basic muted tones discovered inside Scandinavian design.”
