Oh my AllSpark! Paramount has pushed the discharge date of the upcoming animated function Transformers One from July 19, 2024 to September 13, 2024 for undisclosed causes.
The venture is a collaboration between Paramount Animation, Hasbro, and eOne. Josh Cooley directs from a script penned by Andrew Barrer, Gabriel Ferrari, Steve Desmond and Michael Sherman. The movie serves as an origin story set on Cybertron, dwelling to the Autobots and the Decepticons, and focuses on the origin of Optimus Prime and Megatron’s rivalry. Transformers One would be the first animated movie within the franchise since 1986’s The Transformers: The Film.
Transformers One stars Chris Hemsworth as younger Optimus Prime; Brian Tyree Henry as younger Megatron; Scarlett Johansson as Elita; Keegan-Michael Key as Bumblebee; Jon Hamm as Sentinel Prime; and Laurence Fishburne as Alpha Trion.
Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Tom DeSanto, Don Murphy, Michael Bay, Mark Vahradian and Aaron Dem produce, whereas Steven Spielberg, Brian Goldner, Brian Oliver, Bradley J. Fischer and Valerii An government produce.
Transformers One rolls out into theaters September 13, 2024.
